Six Months of Growth, Innovation and Market Expansion at Hamac Trading

It has been a remarkable six months for Hamac Trading. As a UK based multi-brand trade distributor headquartered in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, Hamac Trading has long been a trusted name in the trading industry and the first half of 2026 has firmly cemented that standing with a string of landmark milestones: Europe’s largest display showroom now open, exciting new display products across multiple categories, a packed trade fair schedule, and a business growth story that is drawing attention well beyond the UK.

The Showrooms

The defining story of the past six months has been the opening and success of Hamac Trading’s newly expanded showrooms. At over 30,000 square feet, the facility is now the largest display showroom of its kind in Europe, with over 2,000 products on display across thematic zones covering Christmas, Easter, Halloween, Jurassic, Under the Sea, Zoo, Farm, Fantasy, Pirate, Nature, Food, Statues, Trees & Plants, and Lighting.

What no one quite predicted was the level of demand. As Hamac Trading shared on LinkedIn, the Christmas Showrooms were so popular that opening times had to be extended all the way until 24th April 2026 with viewings available by appointment. The response from trade buyers was exceptional, with many taking advantage of exclusive showroom discounts to secure premium pieces for the seasons ahead.

The newly built lighting showroom has been a particular highlight, showcasing over 150 lighting sculptures in styles, shapes, and sizes up to six metres tall from festive Christmas and Valentine’s Day themes to enchanting animal and fantasy designs. The operational excellence on display here represents a serious investment in customer success: giving trade buyers a true sense of how these products transform spaces before a single order is placed.

New Display Products Making a Big Impact

New product launches have been a key engine of business growth at Hamac Trading over the past six months. The 2026 Hamac Displays Catalogue was a major milestone; a visually rich, comprehensive guide to life-size models, animatronics, and seasonal props. On LinkedIn, Hamac Trading brought this to life with a characteristically playful campaign, featuring their display animals auditioning as catalogue promotion models; a post that perfectly captured the Hamac brand personality while driving enquiries from trade customers looking to refresh their ranges.

The Jurassic range has also attracted significant attention in recent months. Hamac Trading’s LinkedIn activity highlighted the power of prehistoric theming to transform any space into an unforgettable experience and the range of life-size dinosaur models, animatronic dinosaurs, dinosaur eggs, and skull replicas has proved a compelling proposition for theme parks, open farms, adventure golf venues, and visitor attractions.

Hamac’s innovative fusion of premium LED lighting and handcrafted fiberglass continues to attract strong trade interest. Described on LinkedIn as creating “places and moments of true amusement through decorative experience.” The lighting represents a genuinely new category of display product and a strong differentiator for Hamac Trading in the wider trading industry.

For event professionals and venue operators, Hamac Trading has been actively promoting its extensive artificial trees, plants, grasses, and green walls via LinkedIn; highlighting their use not just for retail displays, but for weddings and special events where beautiful, low-maintenance greenery transforms spaces. This signals a meaningful broadening of market expansion beyond purely seasonal retail.

Trade Fairs: From Harrogate to Frankfurt

Hamac Trading’s presence on the international trade fair circuit has been a vital driver of both market expansion and customer success over the past six months. The year opened at the Harrogate Christmas & Gift Fair in January 2026, where Hamac Trading showcased its latest seasonal lines to UK and international buyers, and introduced the new 2026 collections that are now shipping to customers.

In February, the team travelled to Christmasworld Frankfurt, confirmed as an official exhibitor at Messe Frankfurt’s global benchmark for seasonal trade, where Hamac Trading’s Christmas and animation product lines were presented to a worldwide audience. Attending the world’s leading seasonal gift fair reinforces Hamac Trading’s commitment to staying at the forefront of international trends and bringing the very best to its growing customer base.

Most excitingly, we attended IAAPA Expo Asia in Hong Kong (9th–12th June 2026) at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the premier trade event for theme parks, integrated resorts, and family entertainment centres across the Asia-Pacific region. This marked a defining moment for Hamac Trading: the official launch into the Asian Market opening up an exciting new chapter of  expansion into one of the world’s fastest growing attractions markets.

Looking to the second half of 2026, the team will be exhibiting at Glee 2026 (NEC) in September, the UK’s premier garden retail trade show, where Hamac Trading is a well-established presence and IAAPA Expo Europe in London in September, the leading gathering for the global attractions industry. As a proud IAAPA member, Hamac Trading’s participation reflects the increasingly broad range of sectors that its display products serve.

A Growing Team Behind the Growth

Sustained business growth demands the right people, and Hamac Trading made clear on LinkedIn in recent months that it is actively expanding its team. A recruitment drive for an Internal Sales Executive was announced, seeking someone skilled in building relationships, developing accounts, and converting enquiries into sales, a role that speaks directly to the company’s focus on customer success and long-term partnerships.

This growth in headcount mirrors the broader ambition at Hamac Trading: to serve more customers, in more sectors, with more products than ever before.
